The Falmouth Historical Society Research Services  

The Society maintains files on Falmouth Families as well as information about buildings, schools, streets and events.

You may make general requests for a non -specific research effort such as" Do you have information on John Leighton who lived in Falmouth? This would elicit a response "We have information on many members of the Leighton family and there are number with the name John."

There is no fee for questions of a general nature. If you desire a more specific research effort, we can probably help you.

However, we do charge a fee of $20 for further search efforts. This must be paid in advance. Make checks payable to The Falmouth Historical Society.

This will give you one hour of research effort, with no guarantee of positive results.

At the end of this first search period we will notify you of our findings and whether a further search would be fruitful. We will also advise you of other sources of information at other organizations.

All research is provided by unpaid volunteers and the fees charged are used to purchase supplies needed for the maintenance of the collection.

Copies of material will be $.25 per page: postage, shipping, telephone charges or any other expenses will be billed at cost.

Please read carefully before you make a request. 

	Make all requests in writing with your appropriate return postal address.
	Be specific about the information desired.
	Include only one surname with all known spellings with each request.
	Include if possible first names, maiden names, dates of birth, marriage, death, geographical locations, service in the armed forces and occupations.

All final replies will be sent by US Postal Service.
Include a check or money order payable to the Falmouth Historical Society for $ 20 with your request.
